10th Muharram Procession
Imam Hussain & Companions
Ashura is marked with mourning rituals and passion plays re-enacting the martyrdom. Men and women dressed in black also parade through the streets slapping their chests and chanting showing their grief and sorrow on this very sad day of brutal killing of Imam Hussain AS and his companions.
For the procession on this day we need people to volunteer for the Procession Team (Jaloos Team). This team keeps everything in check and insures the health and safety of participants of the procession (Jaloos).
